Achieve perfect 1/4" (6 mm) or scant 1/4" seams effortlessly with this essential presser foot. The built-in guide ensures precision, allowing you to simply align it with the fabric edge as you sew. Ideal for piecing quilts, garment construction, and other sewing projects that require accurate seam allowances.

How to Use:

For Piecing:
The Adjustable 1/4" Foot with Guide is designed to help you sew precise 1/4" (6 mm) or scant 1/4" seams when piecing. The oval-shaped needle hole allows for needle position adjustments, ensuring accuracy for different seam allowances. The distance between the center needle position and the guide is exactly 1/4" (6 mm).
1. Attach the Foot Snap on the Adjustable 1/4” Foot with Guide.
2. Select a Straight Stitch
   For a 1/4" (6 mm) seam, select a centered needle position.
   For a scant 1/4" seam, adjust the needle position one or two steps to the right.
3. Position the Fabric Place the fabric pieces right sides together under the presser foot, aligning the fabric edges with the guide on the foot.
4. Sew the Seam Guide the fabric along the edge guide, keeping it aligned for precise stitching.
5. Press the Seam Allowance Press open or to the side as needed.

Note: Depending on fabric weight and thread thickness, you may need to adjust the needle position to achieve the exact seam allowance. Move the needle to the right to decrease the seam allowance or to the left to increase it. The needle can be adjusted up to three steps in either direction but no more.

Important: Do not use the straight stitch plate when using the Adjustable 1/4" Foot with Guide.

For Topstitching:
The Adjustable 1/4" Foot with Guide is also ideal for topstitching. By adjusting the needle position, you can use the built-in guide to place your stitching exactly where you want it on quilt blocks, garments, or home décor projects.
1. Attach the Foot Snap on the Adjustable 1/4" Foot with Guide.
2. Select Your Stitch Choose a straight stitch, triple straight stitch, or mock hand quilting stitch. Adjust the needle position as needed.
3. Position the Fabric Place the project under the presser foot so the guide runs in the ditch of the seam or along the edge of the fabric.
4. Sew Guide the fabric along the foot's built-in guide, ensuring straight, even stitches for a professional finish.

Note: The red markings on the Adjustable 1/4" Foot with Guide help you align the fabric when starting, at corners, and at the end of your fabric for precise stitching.
